About Me
My Story
My name is Joseph Dolinger, I am currently attending the University of Maryland. My upbringing has shown me all around the D.C. area. I was born in Alexandria, Virginia, raised in Annapolis, Maryland, and I have worked in the nation’s capital ever since I was fourteen. My main goal over the course of my college experience is to be able to see substantial personal growth. I do not want to see the same person in the mirror roughly four years from now. I want to learn new methods of problem solving, new mindsets, and build upon my current skill set. Ideally, if I were to be able to talk to myself four years in the future, I would be extremely fascinated in everything the future me has to say, and eager to learn what has enabled myself to grow. The main reason I chose the Public Leadership scholars program is because I am was undecided on my major for my first semester. I believe the need for experienced leaders will have a universal application to any field I decide to pursue. There are no detriments to learning how to effectively lead a group of people. I hope to develop new relationships and great interpersonal skills while in the Public Leadership program, something that will prove beneficial in whatever major I decide to pursue down the road.- 11/15/2020
